This might not be the kind of new year message you'll love to hear but I want to remind you that you're closer to the grave than you were last year.

Feel free to reject and rebuke it in Jesus name, it doesn't change the fact that we all have an appointment with death some day. As the year rolls and turn into another, that appointment is getting closer If the rapture doesn't take place.

The question I have for you is this: how is your relationship with your maker? I don't want you to be lost in the euphoria of the season. The reality is that our moment here is fleeting. It will be a disaster in eternity If you don't settle things with God now.  

If you're yet to give him your life, you will lose your life when you cross into eternity.

The psalmist (39:4), knew he did not have all the time here, he prayed saying, “LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is.

We need to continually remember this truth so that our lives can be ordered properly in our walk with the Lord. The consciousness of how fleeting our time is will help us live ready for eternity.

Everyone reading this piece will celebrate another birthday this year by adding another year. As we add another year, we are getting old. Probably that is the reason they ask: "How old are you" not "How young are you"? The older we get, the closer we are to the grave.

Will you continue living your life the way you have been living it previously? That lukewarm christian life, sloppy and cold christianity that is "fireless", is this how you want to continue in the new year?

Life is fleeting, time is going, the grave is closer but God is calling us to walk closely with him. Will you walk with Jesus this year better than ever or it will be business as usual?

Gradually, you're getting closer to the grave. Think.
