Ex18:14“And when Moses’ father in law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand by thee from morning unto even?”
YOU NEED A JETHRO
Moses was an anointed man of God. In the old testament, you cannot mention notable figures without mentioning Moses because he was respected by the Jews and even till date, they respect him. While doing ministry in the wilderness, he didn't know about delegation of duty. He had no idea on how to train and raise leaders who could help him with his duties. I can imagine how tired Moses was after settling disputes and attending to people in hundreds and thousands.
As anointed as he was, he didn't know that he should delegate duty. His father-in-law( Jethro)saw how stress took its toll on him and how only him bore the burden of more than ten persons. Jethro saw all this and he advised him to appoint men who would relieve him of some of his duties. The turn around in Moses' ministry came because he acted on the counsel of Jethro. It was after he heeded this advice that he began to spend quality time with God alone on the mountain.
Sometimes, divine turn around comes to those that heed Godly counsel of mentors. It is good to fast and pray, I subscribe to every legal means of experiencing a turn around which includes having a mentor and seeking for Godly counsel. It is not limited to fasting&prayer alone. You are one counsel away from your desired turn around if only you'll listen. Every Moses need a Jethro, who is your Jethro?
