GENUINE REPENTANCE
The story of the prodigal son is the story of a man that experienced divine turn around. He demanded for his share of his father's wealth and travelled to a far country where he lavished the money on worldly pleasures. He became broke to the point where he was eating with pigs. When he came to his senses, he returned to his father and he was restored, Luke15:11-32.
The turn around in his life came when he realized he was on the wrong path and he made a u-turn. Sin can put a man in captivity and it can destroy good things around us. One of the tricks of the enemy is to keep you in that filthy state so that he can deal with you. The way and manner the devil has dealt with some people, one would be forced to think that God has abandoned them yet it is not so.
Dearest, repentance is the surest way back to the top. You need to identify the door through which the enemy entered through into your life and close it through repentance. True repentance is not just about wailing and crying. It is simply a change of action or direction. I have been in meetings where people would cry and wail in repentance yet thesame people would return to their vomit . That's not genuine repentance. The kind of repentance that brings a turn around is such that would produce fruit that we can see.
