There is a spirit called spirit of grace and prayer. When it is poured out on a man, there's a release of grace for heart-felt prayers even for days non-stop. I've experienced that countless times, sometimes I'll experience a prayer anointing and I'll pray for hours sometimes up to 8 hours at a stretch.
It doesn't happen everyday or every month but when it happens, I know there are issues God wants me to settle in long prayers. The Spirit of God wants that to be a common occurrence in our prayer lives but we must be sensitive to him to know when such promptings come.
