1Tim4:12- Take heed to your ministry...NKJV
Albert Schweizer was a theologian in his early days and he loved God so much. He saw an advert by a mission agency about the need for a missionary doctor in Gabon. A burden was stirred in him for the work, amidst disapproval from families&friends, enrolled in a medical school for proper training in the field of medicine, when he graduated, he relocated to Africa to practice medicine not for money but for souls.
Many Christians are missing it today in their profession thinking they are in it just to make money, that's the thinking of a secular person not a spiritual man. From the spiritual standpoint, we think of how to advance the kingdom, win souls and disciple them. We don't take career decisions from the secular standpoint but rather from the kingdom standpoint.
Selfishness and greed isn't just when we want to have it all to ourselves but when we don't care about how we can benefit the one who has given us the privilege we are enjoying. I'm not saying you should turn your office to a crusade ground, let it start with your life style in that office.
- Father, take what I have and use it for your glory.
