Set backs in our Christian walk is called backsliding. This is a state where our commitment&devotion, zeal, passion& spiritual progress is deteriorating. It is a state where we return to our vomit, backsliding is in varying degrees and it is nothing to glory about.
A man may still be preaching, attending church, sowing seed and actively involved in church rites, yet Heaven is saying you've lost your place. Backsliding is when our first love for God has waned. That deadly passion we had as new converts ought to be maintained till Jesus comes for us.
Now that secret sins has ebbed the spiritual glow and glory away from your life, God is ready to accept you and restore you to where you've fallen. There's a popular hymn that says 'Softly&tenderly Jesus is calling, calling
Come home...". Today is God's healing day for the backsliders. Return to him for restoration.
Father, cure my backsliding and restore me In Jesus Name.
