Eccl7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Pastor E.A.Adeboye told the story of how some people received new cars some minutes to the end of a particular year. In the cross over service of that particular year, he made an altar call for those that believe they could get a car before the end of the year. Few persons walked forward believing they could get a new car before entering into the new year. Right there in that service, car keys were given to those that came out for the altar call. They got a surprise package for the end of the year.
This year hasn't ended until the clock reads 12am. At 11:59pm, great miracles can happen in your life. There are surprises, blessings, miracles and favours that are packaged for the end. Heaven doesn't roll over what belongs to us. It is our faithlessness that postpones our miracles. I see a lot of people giving up on the year. They have pushed their expectations into the new year. So many have lost hope. Listen to the word of the Lord, "At least there is hope for a tree: If it is cut down, it will sprout again, and its new shoots will not fail",Job 14:7 NIV. As long as you're alive, there's hope. In few hours, great things can happen.
If you can't believe God for a surprise package before the year runs out, it may be hard believing him in the new year. I have decided not to look down on God's power. In man's calendar, things may look late but with God, this is the right time. There's no lateness with God. As you step out, i want you to believe God for an arrears of all that is due you since the beginning of the year. The fulfilment of Joseph's dream was delayed for 17years but in less than 24 hours, he was enthroned. 24 hours is too much for God to turn your life around. God is still in the business of giving out surprise packages at the end of the year, take yours by faith.
Father, I take all that belongs to me(...specify) this year today. I am not carrying my good expectations over into the next year. I claim the blessings due me this year. No carry over as I cross over in Jesus name
