SHARPENING YOUR SENSITIVITY(C)
Some of us are familiar with the story in 2Kings 3. Joram succeeded his father, Ahab. Meesha the king of Moab normally pay tributes to Ahab in his life time but when his son ascended the throne, he rebelled. Joram decided to wage war against Moab. King Jehoshaphat of Judah and the king of Edom allied with Joram to fight king Meesha of Moab. They moved in the wilderness for about 7 days and they got to a point where there was no water for the soldiers and animals. The situation seemed hopeless but one of Joram's soldiers suggested they consulted Elisha so that they can know the mind of God. When they got to Elisha, it was obvious that Elisha wasn't happy with Joram because his father wasn't fully committed to the God of Israel.
I perceive that Elisha was not so in tune with the Spirit at the time they requested to know God's mind. He requested for a minstrel to come play music. The bible says, But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. And he said, Thus saith the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches", vs 15. He couldnt say "thus saith the Lord" not until an anointed minstrel played. He took advantage of anointed music and minstrel to connect with heaven for a word of knowledge. Unfortunately, many in the music ministry in churches today are either glorified entertainers or business merchant who want to merchandise God's grace. Do you know that anointed music can aid sensitivity? When you stay in an atmosphere where worship fills the air, your heart becomes tender and you'll easily connect to the Spirit. What many don't know is that even those in the occult also take advantage of demon inspired music to connect with the spirit realm if they want to commune with demons.
Strive to be in an atmosphere where Jesus is lifted and worshipped. It opens the pathway for God to speak. Stop listening to junk music if you want to connect to the frequency of heaven. From experience as a preacher, a dry and uninspired worship session in church may affect the flow of the preacher while a Spirit-filled worship session can make preaching/teaching easy for a preacher. Saul knew that his relief from demonic oppression lies in anointed music. That was why he engaged David in playing the harp so that he could be relieved. In your vehicle, house and office, use anointed music to create an atmosphere where the Spirit of God can easily reachout to you and speak to your spirit man. Anointed music aids spiritual sensitivity.
PRAYER POINT: Father, I receive the grace to connect to the Spirit through anointed music in Jesus name.
