SHARPENING YOUR SENSITIVITY(B)

Spiritual sensitivity can be likened to the way we tune the old television antenna till it gives a clear picture and sound. When I was growing up, we didnt have a decoder like most people do today. Those days, only the rich had what we called "satellite dish". Our television stations operated on UHF and VHF frequencies. Those that used what we call black and white television will remember this very well. Most times, before the picture and sound quality is clear, someone was always outside to set the antenna manually while the person inside gives feedback on clarity. Thanks to technological advancement. Later, antenna with a booster device and remote came into the market. Tuning was a big headache not until digitalization became the order of the day. Oldies like me won't forget that era.

Your spiritual sensitivity can be tuned to operate at the frequency of heaven. The idea of radio and television frequencies first existed in the realm of the spirit before it was discovered by scientists. Man's spirit can be tuned to catch heavenly signals and pick information. Prayer is another tool for achieving sensitivity especially praying in tongues. 1Cor 14:14 "For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying,...". So if the spirit is what prays when we pray in tongues, it also means that praying in tongues is a spiritual exercise that attunes us to the spirit realm. It makes us keen and receptive to the things of the Spirit. We enter into the supernatural when we pray in the Holy Ghost extensively. Hearing God is a spiritual communication from spirit to spirit. John 4:24 say, *"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth”. God doesn't have a bodily form, we only use anthropomorphic descriptions to describe him. If any man will hear from Him, his spirit must be alive.

Dearest, don't joke with your prayer life. Prayer positions your spirit to pick divine signals. While it was easy to tune a transistor radio and analog t.v.to their respective frequencies, it is not easy to tune the spirit quickly. This is because we are accustomed to the sense realm. It takes conscious and consistent deliberate effort to tune the spirit and make it sensitive. For years, I've formed the habit of praying in tongues on daily basis. It is a bit easier for me now to tune my spirit than it was 10 years ago. The more I pray in the Holy Ghost, the better I become in matters of sensitivity. Develop that spiritual discipline of praying in the Holy Ghost on daily basis. Focus on making your spirit man sharp, receptive and sensitive to spiritual things.
