POSTURES FOR DIVINE DIRECTION Pt.3
Jer33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’
MOUTH POSTURE
The first posture you must get right in matters of receiving divine direction from God is your heart posture after which you can engage your mouth. A request for divine direction is not enough until the posture of the heart is right. The posture of the mouth here refers to making a request about the issue in need of clarity. Desire is not enough. So many desire to hear clearly from God but they haven't tabled a request before God.
An angel appeared to a man who had a desire. He told the angel what he desired in their discussion. After talking on several issues, the angel reminded him to ask the father about his desire. A desire to be led is not enough, you need to ask. You must pay the price in the place of prayer if you want to be led. To unravel divine secrets, you must press deep in the place of prayer. Often, we fail to get clear direction from God because of laziness in prayer. Prayer position us to hear what God is saying.
Through prayer, Daniel and his companion had access to the secrets of heaven when the king had a vision that confused him: "He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven", Daniel2:18-19. We have a promissory note from God for divine direction: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you, Psalms 32:8 NIV. We have the right to ask for divine secrets to be unveiled because God promised us in His word. Don't leave your desire to be led by God in the realm of desire. Tarry in prayer until you get a clear signal from God.
I receive the grace to tarry in prayer till I get a clear signal from heaven in Jesus name
