STIRRING THE POWER OF HIS PRESENCE

2 Kings 3:15 But now bring me a harpist.” While the harpist was playing, the hand of the LORD came on Elisha

Three kings( Israel, Judah &Edom) set out to engage the king of Moab in battle. After a roundabout march of seven days, the army had no more water for themselves or for the animals with them so Jehoshaphat insisted they inquire from the Lord through a prophet. Elisha was suggested and they went to him. Reading from that text, it was obvious Elisha was angry with the king of Israel because he clung to other god apart from Yahweh. Also, he had his own prophets who weren't of God but because of king Jehoshaphat, Elisha obliged their request to inquire from God. However, In that state, it was impossible to hear God clearly so he demanded for a minstrel. As the minstrel played, the hand of God came upon Elisha and he prophesied. He stirred the Spirit of God.

That's a big lesson there for us all especially ministers of the Gospel. You can stir God's power, you can provoke prophecies. You can stir the Spirit to move. Smith Wigglesworth of blessed memory said, "If the Spirit doesn't move me, I'll move the Spirit." It doesn't mean we can force the Spirit of God to perform but in context of this teaching, what we are saying is that we can make room and create the type of atmosphere needed for the Spirit of God to move. There's a kind of atmosphere where the Spirit of God moves. In Acts 13:2, they created that atmosphere as they worshipped and ministered unto the Lord then the Spirit of God spoke: "While they were WORSHIPING THE LORD AND FASTING, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

You can operate in the supernatural and flow with the Holy Spirit if you understand how. The Holy Spirit is ever available for us but He loves to move in an atmosphere of worship. He is everywhere but His manifest presence isn't everywhere unless we unlock it. Some persons wonder why miracles and healings of great dimensions occur in programs where Jesus is lifted and worshipped yet doesn't occur on the streets where there are blind beggars, cripple and weaklings. What we have discussed may be the reason except in cases where God's sovereignty play out. When we make room for the Holy Spirit and the heart of the people is connected by faith, there'll be a manifestation of the supernatural.
