Colossians 2:15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. NLT
In 2010, I joined Nigeria Christian youth corpers in a village outreach dubbed rural rugged evangelism. One of the zones invited me to be part of their outreach. When we got to the venue, there was a heavy downpour that made us stay indoor. We waited for the rain to stop but nothing happened. In that venue, we had a tent and our chairs were arranged on the field. I entered the rain to have a feel of the heavy downpour but to my chagrin, I discovered that the rain was falling on the area where we had our tent and on the chairs only. Just behind the chairs in the open field, there was no single drop. I called the prayer coordinator to come see the wonder. When she stepped out of the area where we had our chairs, there was no single drop of rain but coming to where our chairs were, there was rain.
Immediately, we knew the enemy was up to something evil. I told the brethren that we'll all come under the rain and defy it. By faith, we began to sing under the rain. If i can remember vividly, some brethren were praying. We were resolute about defying the rain knowing it was a demonic ploy to stop what God was about to do. After a short time, the rain stopped. Hallelujah!!! We had our crusade that night and it was glorious. The devil knows a good thing when he sees one. He thought he could stop God's work and prevent souls from coming to the Lord but he failed woefully. When you're cooking greatness in the pot, he may not know the content but he can smell the aroma. He's all out to frustrate every good plan God has for you.
He's the reason you have had several near success attempt, he's the architect of your several frustrations. He is your greatest opposition. In 1Thes 2:18, Paul said, "We wanted very much to come to you, and I, Paul, tried again and again, but Satan prevented us." Stand against him in faith. We don't run from the devil, we confront him with the weaponry of God's word and the name of Jesus. James 4:7 says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." If you don't resist him, you won't conquer. Faith in God's word remains a potent tool of victory when confronting satan: "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith"(1John5:4). Be ready to unleash your faith against the onslaught of the enemy using the name of Jesus.
Father, I confront every demonic battle and gang up against me causing ( ...insert case), I paralyze them over my life in Jesus name.
