Galatians 6:7 Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. NLT.
GIVE CHEERFULLY
Apostle Paul told us another important attitude that must be in place for our giving to be acceptable. In 2 Corinthians 9:7, Paul says, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
Giving must be done cheerfully. This speaks of a joyful attitude. The Christian attitude towards giving should not be with sadness. If all other biblical principles of giving are followed, cheerful giving will result. Don't let anyone steal the joy that comes with giving through manipulation.
Giving grudgingly shows that one of the biblical principles of giving has been broken. There's no way you'll give scripturally and not be cheerful about it even if you're giving all. I know the pain that comes with sacrificial giving but even at that, the element of cheerfulness must be constant.
As a steward, even when God demand that you give all, it must be done with a cheerful attitude knowing that what you want to give is not yours but God's. These are the scriptural ways of giving.
