1 Corinthians 6:18 *"Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body*".
IT WEAKENS RESISTANCE
Imagine a car without brakes. What do you think will happen to it? It is bound to crash. That is what porn wires its victims to be. They become weak to say no to sex. They lose control. Every time they feel aroused, they want to have sex because their brain has been retuned to "do" instead of saying "no".
Proverbs 25:28 says, *"A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls*"( NLT).
The respond to every impulse and motions of sex in their minds. For instance, I have heard about those that masturbate on pictures. When they see pictures of sexually appealing ladies or men, they place it in front of them and masturbate on it. Such people carry a sexual fire everywhere they go.
Another reason behind the several cases of bizarre sexual acts and misconducts we see today is porn. Someone full of erotic thoughts will always look for the easy way out to let out sexual passion. Such may start molesting young girls or boys or even engage in incest. Their minds have become so dirty so they want to experiment what they have watched.
Porn can also be likened to feeding a cub (baby lion). At inception, the cub may look like a pet but it gains strength gradually. When it grows, it becomes uncontrollable and untamable. It starts eating flesh sparing no one. That is what porn does to the flesh. It feeds the flesh.
If you ever meet or know someone with uncontrollable sexual passion, check what they feed their minds with. The food they give their minds is porn( either soft or hard porn). Is there a way out? Yes, there is. No matter how far you've gone in this.
Galatians 5:16 says, *" So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh*"(NKJV)
You must be committed to constant mind renewal (Romans 12:1-2) of the mind must follow. This is a life time task of every believer. Not only against porn but against all forms of sin. The mind is the seat of our actions. The tool for programming, cleansing and guarding it is the word of God.
Psalm 119:9 says *"How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word*"( NKJV)
Let's pray the prayer of the psalmist in Psalm 119:32.
Psalm 119:32 says, *"Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways*".
