HOW TO MAKE 2024 COUNT Pt.1
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing(KJV).
YOU NEED GOD
Welcome to 2024. You have anticipated to see this year since last year and here it is. Though God's calendar is not Gregorian neither is it Julian yet you and me have the opportunity to make fresh decisions that will propel our lives forward and make it count in whatever calendar we use.
For you to make your year count than the previous, you need certain things but the most important of them all is GOD. So many times, we get so motivated in the pursuit of our goals thinking we can do it alone. Failure to involve God in previous years might be the reason for failure.
1 Samuel 2:9 says, "He will keep the feet of his saints, And the wicked shall be silent in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail". Human strength( physical and mental) is not enough to run the race of this year.
This is the age of self- help where the core message is centred on self- ability. Self- confidence and the exercise of one's ability is not totally bad but when God is not in the equation, it would be an effort in futility.
Jesus did not mince words when he said: 'for without me ye can do nothing'. It means you cannot do anything successfully without God. Just think about the smallest thing, you cannot do it without God.
It will be fatal to start this year without God. You'll need Him every step of the way. The wise ones will ask Him for direction on how to journey through the year.
Psalm 32:8 says, "I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye". This is God's comprehensive promise of divine instruction.
He has the map and navigation details. Your trust in God this year must be unflinching because you cannot do anything without him. In the broad spectrum of what you need, God is the first and major need this year. Keep desiring more of Him.
CONFESSION: Heavenly Father, I need you and I see that i'm helpless without you. Help me through out this year In Jesus name. Amen
