ENGAGE IN SOUL-WINNING
Satan is an active soul winner. Why did I say so? While commuting from one location to the other in Lagos metropolis, I have seen native doctors and preachers from other faith preach what they believe. Right there in the bus, people responded to their messages and I believe they were won over to the side of Satan. Little wonder why the children of hell are on the increase. Someone is dragging them there.
Satan has redefined soulwinning for some. They think soulwinning is all about telling people about their pastor, prophet or apostle. All they desire to see is addition to their church and not the kingdom. This pseudo soulwinning has made some churches think they are making progress because of large numbers whereas they only have crowd of people in church but not in Christ.
True soulwinning points people to Christ and his redemptive work first then church comes after. A reversal of this order will promote "Churchianity" instead of "Christianity".
If only we can be committed to soulwinning as we are to the pursuit of our career and business goals, we would have won many over to the Lord. Our common assignment is to go into the world and preach the gospel. The love of God is too good to be left untold. Do not leave the work of soulwinning to the evangelists alone, it is an assignment for all. Stop saying, "I'll support with my money while the preachers go". In as much as it is good to support evangelism with your money, you are mandated to preach aa well. If you can talk, you can win souls.
In Ezekiel 33, God warned that we should warn the sinners about his coming judgement. Failure to do so, the blood of sinners will be required from our hands. How many of us can pay for that? Multitudes are dying daily and are heading to hell, the pain of hell is too severe for anyone to bear. If we fail to preach the gospel, it means we don't care.
In your goals for this year, include the number of souls you intend to win and how you want to win them. Don't let this year pass you by without sharing God's loving grace to sinners. The devil is also 'evangelizing'. The fruit of his 'evangelism' is terrorism, prostitution, internet fraud, etc. For someone to blow himself up because he hopes to marry 70 virgins in heaven shows that his thinking has been influenced negatively. We can do better by preaching the truth to sinners.
Those we fail to win to the Lord may become a pain in our neck tomorrow. It is wise to win souls.
