BE INVOLVED IN GOD'S MISSION TO THE UNREACHED(A)
Dr Morris Cerrulo went to a town in a country close to United States of America. He went around preaching the gospel. He was thirsty and he saw a shop with Coca- Cola advert in the frontage. He decided to check in for a bottle of coke.
Through his local interpreter, he asked the coke vendor if he had ever heard about Jesus? The coke vendor replied by asking: Is that another brand of coke? Dr Cerrulo couldn't drink the coke in his hands because he was surprised that somewhere close to 'Christian' America, someone hadn't heard the name of Jesus.
Do you know that there are people living in our world today that haven't the Gospel of Christ once?
What is Christian missions? This involves taking the gospel message to those that have not heard it within or across cultures and ensuring that the gospel is presented in a manner that is relevant to their culture without compromising the truth of the gospel.
This definition makes Christian missions unique because there is a target audience. The target audience of every missionary are the unreached or unengaged in a culture that doesn't have access to the gospel or 2% christians.
Every unreached person is unsaved but not every unsaved person is unreached.
There are class of unsaved persons that have heard the gospel severally. They have access to christian literatures, bible translation in their language but they rejected salvation.
Another class exist that doesn't have anyone to preach to them neither do they have access to the gospel either in form of literature, radio, bible translation in their language, etc. Those are the main target of missions.
God is counting on every believer to be involved in ensuring that the gospel reach the unreached people. An average of 70,000 people die daily without hearing the gospel.
