HOW TO MAKE LOVE PROSPER

July 08, 2014 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Prov17:9 Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.

Love can only prosper when you forgive faults. If I stop writing this devotional here, I think I've solved someone's problem. The more you dwell on people's mistakes, you create a love barrier that will keep widening, forgiveness bridges love gaps and lubricates love.

There is a Yoruba adage that says 'If you don't forget the fault of yesterday, you will not have anyone to play with today'. You can love your spouse once again just like you did when you newly met him/her, the key is forgiveness. Don't ever think people won't hurt you, even your loved ones.

It hurts when your closest ally hurts you but you must learn to make room for the inadequacies of others. Love is not love not until it is tested by offences and misunderstanding. You can't truly say you love a woman or man that hasn't offended you because Love is what you exercise even when you don't feel like it.

Action point
  • LOVE is a choice that prospers when you forgive. Don't dwell on faults, see the good side always.
