Prov15: 1- A gentle answer quiets anger, but a harsh one stirs it up.
A married woman who was physically abused by her husband ran to her Pastor for counselling, the pastor gave her a broom stick to keep in her mouth so that whenever her husband is talking, that will hinder her from talking or responding rashly.
She did that for weeks and the husband discovered that his wife is now cultured, he spits fire expecting the wife to respond but she would keep quiet, later the wife ran to the Pastor and told him that his prayer worked. The Pastor told her he didn't pray a seconds about her predicament but just taught her to keep silent when her husband is angry.
Gentle answer can prevent war between couples, friends and even foes. When someone is angry and your reply is equally a harsh one, there would be problem. As a married woman, when next your husband is angry, let your answer be gentle, it will save you some battery.
