Prov31:4 It is not for kings, O Lemuel, to guzzle wine. Rulers should not crave alcohol.
When I was in high school, I was the senior prefect(Head boy), I had a group of friends who were addicted to the bottle and on one occasion I bought a gin and drank heavily at the back of the school. I got so drunk that I began to misbehave in school, I rode a bicycle during lecture time and was speaking gibberish.
My respect as the senior prefect vanished, some ladies in my class warned me that if I ever drink again, they will desert me.There has been so much arguments about whether a christian should drink alcohol or not, some say a little isn't bad but you see, the bible made it clear that alcohol isn't for kings.
The day you become born again, royalty is conferred on you automatically&you become a king&priest(Rev1:5-6). The opening text made it clear that alcohol(whether little or much) isn't for you because you are a king. The devil will tell you little isn't bad but you'll find yourself graduating from one level to the other.
Some men have wasted what can buy them a land and build houses in beer parlour. Don't be caught in the bottle trap.
