When you gave your life to Christ, you were made righteous and you are free to come into God's presence without any feeling of guilt and condemnation for your past sins. It is hard for religious people to accept this truth because they feel righteousness is what you have to cry and fast for. They also see it as something to cheap to come by but I'm preaching what the scripture says.
Rom5:17 made it clear that we have been given the gift of righteousness and God now sees us the way he sees Christ. That righteousness isn't what we deserve, it was bequeathed to us by grace. Glory! When God sees you, he's seeing a righteous man. The devil knows this truth isn't preached often that is why he has succeeded in keeping you in guilt.
The ministry of Christ has brought righteousness to us as a gift. In the old testament, they depended on fulfilling the law to be made right with God, yet their righteousness(self-righteousness) was like a filthy rag but ours isn't so because Christ gave it to us (Christ-like righteousness). If it is truly from Christ, it can't be like a filthy rag anymore. Glory to Jesus! We have it now.
CONFESSION: - I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, I have the capacity within to please God and walk in love because of his Spirit within. I subscribe to the ministry of Christ that brings righteousness.
