NOT FOR THE SPECIAL ONES
Psalm32:8 I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
As a young believer, anytime I hear another believer saying 'God said', i saw it as an experience for a special type of people in the body of Christ.
In fact, I thought only 'super spiritual' people have access to hearing from God. I desired to also hear his voice and be led by His Spirit.
As I began to study my bible, read books and hear preachers preach the mind of God, I saw from scriptures that God's desire is to lead His children individually not through a third party.
Psalm32:8 says, "I will instruct thee( YOU) and teach thee( YOU) in the way which thou( YOU) shalt go: I will guide thee(YOU) with mine eye ( Emphasis mine).
Hearing God is not something to delegate. God does not want you to delegate hearing from Him to another person.
The reason there are so many prophetic merchants in town today is because most believers have become so lazy in waiting on God for direction.
There are believers that are fond of consulting prophets like herbalist. It is even worse when those seeking to be married take several pictures to a prophet for selection.
A woman brought a guy's picture to me several years ago. She told me several prophets said that was her daughter's husband and that I should validate it.
I knew she was talking out of greed because that young man was financially stable. I dismissed her with wisdom.
God is your father, He is willing to speak to you like a father and as a friend.
One of the reasons why the Holy Spirit was sent is to teach us and guide us in all things: "But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you"( John 14:26 NLT).
If you stay in fellowship with the Holy Spirit, you will hear Him. It is impossible to recognize the voice of someone you're not relating with daily.
Jesus was perfectly right when he said his sheep know his voice and they hear him( John10:27-28). It takes close relationship with the shepherd to know His voice.
Father, i receive grace to relate with you closely In Jesus name.
