HE CARES ABOUT WEALTH-MAKING PROCESS

March 26, 2023 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Jeremiah 17:11 Like a partridge that hatches eggs she has not laid, so are those who get their wealth by unjust means. At mid life they will lose their riches; in the end, they will become poor old fools. NLT

Sometime ago, a young man gave a huge sum to a church. He stole the money from office though the pastor did not know initially.

When the anti graft agency conducted their investigation, they discovered the money was in the coffers of his church. They reached out to his pastor for a refund but the response was shocking. No remorse no apology.

I understand the money may have gone into projects and some programs since the source was unknown, however, the response should have shown they don't support stealing with a promise to restitute If possible.

lt is a dangerous theology to say "Whatever you bring to the altar is sanctified". Stolen money brought to the altar cannot be sanctified by the Lord. You can't defraud people and expect the blessings of the Lord to rest on the work of your hands.

The 'Gospel' of materialism has many fault lines that encourage this malfeasance. I have heard and read testimonies on fliers of churches about "sudden wealth" and how earnings rose to six zeroes in months yet no one is asking question.

I am of the opinion that certain testimonies should be probed and investigated before being published. Do i doubt miracles? No i don't but is God a God of process and principles? Yes he is.

When all the preacher care about is the "prosperity" of the people without proper consideration for the process, thieves and rogues will pay tithes and offerings hoping the altar sanctifies it.

Beware of those who preach "Anointing for sudden wealth", there's nothing like that. True wealth is built gradually and it takes time to master the process. It is a function of growth, financial skills acquired and put to practice coupled with God's blessings.

God is not so concerned about your wealth as much as he is about how you got the wealth. You cannot bribe God neither can you deceive him. You can't steal and have peace.True wealth brings peace and joy.

In God's philosophy, the end doesn't justify the means. He is concerned about the process that leads to the end result and not the result alone.

Have you been stealing and swindling people because you want to be wealthy? Desist from such evil act today and restitute where possible.

Being wealthy is not a sin but when it is gotten unjustly, it becomes an abomination unto God and a curse upon the thief. I stand for financial probity.

If there are unbelievers whose monies are clean and will never compromise to make money, why should believers with the Holy Spirit within throw their faith to the bin because of money?

God values our legitimate businesses/work. He promised to bless the work of our hands.
