Romans4:20 His faith did not leave him, and he did not doubt God's promise; his faith filled him with power, and he gave praise to God (GNT)
BE CHEERFUL AND FULL OF PRAISES TO GOD
Abraham's life is worth examining. When talking about waiting for "Kairos" time and doing the right thing before the manifestation of answers, we have a good example in Abraham.
In the opening text, we were told that he gave praises to God. This he did even when he hadn't seen the promise. I want to believe that Abraham had a culture of praising God and cheerfulness. He didn't look like what he was going through neither was his life paralyzed because he was barren. Some wear their problems everywhere they go.
In fact, in Genesis 14, he fought a war to rescue his household. It is only a motivated man that could have done that. If he wasn't, he could have abandoned them to the kings since he didn't have a child.
Proverbs 17:22 says, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones".
While waiting for "Kairos" time, the devil will attempt to steal your song so that he can stop God's praises from your heart. He'll try to dampen your spirit so that he can down your cheerfulness.
In some cases, his tool is negative thoughts, guilt, condemnation and comparison. He'll point you to your contemporaries or Juniors who are doing fine. He may bring the picture of how far they've gone and made progress and ice the cake with guilt and condemnation for you.
At this point, If you're not careful, you may find yourself in a sober mood thinking God doesn't love you or you may think there's a sin God is holding against you. Those experiencing this may find themselves losing their cheerfulness and heart of praises to God. They'll go from one level of guilt feelings to another till their mind becomes a wreck.
Dearest, while waiting for "Kairos" time, never allow the devil steal your song. Be cheerful and do not wear your challenges like a badge. Avoid jealousy or bitterness.
Don't be bitter towards those that have made it to their Canaan. Focus and enjoy your journey to Canaan. Spice it up with praises and thanksgiving always. Don't wait for the arrival of answers before giving praises to God.
*Your cheerfulness should not be determined by answer to prayer. Do not allow people read your challenges from your face. Dress well, go to the cinema, look good and relate without a sense of inferiority.
I hate to see God's people wear their challenges as an identity. God hates it too because he is not glorified that way. If you're yet to marry, don't stop attending the weddings of your friends. You may just meet "Mr right" while there. Be outgoing and stop living like a recluse. If you're trusting God for fruit of the womb, rejoice with those who give birth. Buy them gifts and remind God about yours.
If you allow your challenges consume you, you may become unfit mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually when the answer to your prayer comes. It is just a matter of "Kairos" time, your miracle will manifest. I see you testifying very soon.
Father, I receive the garment of praise while waiting for "Kairos" in Jesus name.
