1Thess5:17- Pray without ceasing (KJV*
A VIRILE PRAYER ALTAR
Whenever we talk about having a virile prayer altar, what comes to the mind of some is the prayer exercise chosen by the church.
Some think in terms of being faithful in attending prayer meetings and prayer crusades. Online prayer meetings is inclusive. That's fine. I love corporate prayer but that is not enough to satisfy my cravings for deeper fellowship with God. I see prayer as a vital element of my fellowship with God that I must not play with.
The true definition of having a prayer life is that consistency in private prayers when alone with no one but God. The number of prayer meetings you attend( online&onsite) is not the definition of having a prayer life. It is your consistency in personal prayer that does.
There is a generation of elitist who sees prayer as an unnecessary spiritual exercise instead of engaging in cogitation aimed at solving problems.
Some wonder why we spend long hours and days fasting and praying. If only they knew that the spiritual controls the physical and that prayer is one of the access of operation in the spirit realm, probably they wouldn't have casted aspersion at praying men and women.
In this new year, your prayer life must not be occasional or ceremonial. It must be daily and consistent.
This is a year for those that are in touch with heaven constantly. Previously, we talked about being directed by God in all areas of our lives.
The channel through which divine direction comes is opened and sharpened through prayer because prayer is a dialogue and not a monologue.
Prayer prepares and conditions us for God's will. That is why I believe time spent in the place of prayer is never wasted but imvested. The power for sustenance is released through prayer.
