THE POWER OF HIS PRESENCE

Benny Hinn shared the story of his experience as a growing young man who encountered the Holy Spirit. While he was fellowshiping with the Holy Spirit in his room, the presence of God filled the room to the point where his mother was pushed backward when she opened the door.There is power available for every believer who can tarry in God's presence. We don't enter His presence because we want power, we enter His presence to fellowship and there His power rub on us. On the mount of transfiguration, the face of Jesus shone brightly. Three disciples(Peter, James&John) of Jesus who were part of his inner circle were on that mountain. What they saw made them tremble. After Peter saw the glorified face of Jesus and two Old testament prophets( Moses&Elijah), he also experienced the beauty and manifestation of God's presence and he said: “Lord, it is good for us to be here...”

Many believers do not know the power that lies in abiding in God's presence. The anointing that many seek is in God's presence. The concept of rubbing with anointing oil started with the Jewish shepherd. They smear their sheep with oil as a form of protection against insects. In God's presence, the anointing is always available to rub on only those that stay in God's presence. Everyone of us must learn to practice God's presence in our daily lives. Some get so preoccupied with asking for power but they neglect this principle of staying in God's presence. You need to visit the mountain to see those who are praying for power. Some have fasted for power to death. A man on e told us that some face the sun asking for power. They don't care about their eyesight. That's to the extreme. The power of God is available only His presence. Those who cultivate and practice His presence every time will operate easily in His power.

Years back, whenever I'm driving to the office, my vehicle was always smoky with God's presence. Those days, I'll drive two hours thirty minutes to the office from my residence. Anytime I alight from the vehicle, I was always filled with an unusual anointing. I wasn't praying for power, I was only enjoying sweet fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Learn to create an atmosphere where you can sense His presence and key into it at all times. Your kitchen can be filled with the "smoke" of His presence if only you can cultivate His presence there. I once read about a woman who became baptized in the Holy Spirit in her kitchen. You don't need to visit the mountain before coming into His glorious presence. You can live in the consciousness of his presence through constant fellowship, this is not limited to church or worship session. We must learn to open our spirit man to fellowshipping with God even in our bathroom. Those that have this understanding need not wait to whip emotions or do a special 'waiting' to connect to the celestial. As we do this, the glory of God would descend and we'll begin to walk in the supernatural.
