TAKING AUTHORITY IN JESUS NAME
Redemption is not reduction. I was in a conversation with someone sometimes ago. The demon that spoke through the person challenged me asking "who are you"? Note, I didn't say the person asked me that question but the demon spirit in her. In that confession, the demon spirit said so many things that got me upset from within my spirit. It all started like a harmless conversation between me and the person under demonic influence in the presence of three other persons. We didn't take the whole thing serious at first not until we realized that a demon was speaking through her. The moment I realized I had wasted too much time listening to the boasts and rants of another Goliath, I switched on my new creation mentality and commanded the spirit to leave.
She hit the floor without me touching her. The power of God filled the room and the atmosphere changed. After taking authority in the name of Jesus, it was as if she came to her senses and she began to talk normally. One of the keys to staying victorious over demons is to take authority over them using the name of Jesus. The moment you notice you've come under demonic influence, use the authority you have. Never treat demons with kids gloves. Stop going around looking for who will help you chase demons out. Jesus said, "These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages", Mark16:17 NLT.
You have the redemptive right to send demons packing. Don't be soldier acting like a boy scout neither should you be a Lion living like a pussy cat. The power in you and authority you have is far greater than what is on the other side. “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world",1 John 4:4, ESV. Hallelujah!!! Jesus dealt with demons on the cross and gave you the victory: "In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross", Col 2:15 NLT. Your duty is to enforce the victory of Christ by taking authority over the hordes of hell. It is shameful to see God's children running and cringing in fear of demons. God is not glorified when demons press you, have sex with you and even feed you in your sleep. Take authority now.
