I was told the story of a man that had a regular prayer time in a fixed place. He was known for praying at that spot at certain times daily. He stopped his regular prayer schedule for about a week.
Someone else began to pray and God ministered to him that he should call a certain number. He didn't know the number of who it was but God told him to tell the fellow that He was missing him because he wasn't at his usual place of prayer for a just a week.
Can God miss you? Most times, we get so busy to the extent that we don't have time to fellowship with God. The hustling and bustling of this present times is so distracting; there are people that wake up so early to go to work and return so late and tired to have enough time for their families let alone God.
The rat race has become a marathon race and we are forgetting to fellowship with God gradually. It is surprising that some who profess to be Christians no longer study the bible because they're trapped. God doesn't play with that time that you have set apart to meet with Him in the place of prayer and the word.
Jesus, the messiah knew that the lifeline for the fulfilment of his assignment was tied to fellowshipping with the father constantly, that was why he had regular times and place where he met with God. It was easy for Judas Iscariot to locate him in Gethsemane because he knew Jesus had built a prayer altar there (John18:2).
The strength for the Christian race and the oil that will keep your lamp burning can only be gotten in the place of personal fellowship. It is God's priority for His children. Build an altar. Register yourself in the school of divine fellowship. That is how to become close to God.
Father, I receive grace to fellowship with you constantly In Jesus name.
