WHY WE FACE LIFE'S CHALLENGES Pt. 10

1Cor10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

DO NOT MURMUR

To overcome your challenges, you must avoid murmuring. One of the things that got God angry towards the children of Israel was murmuring. In fact, their murmuring opened the door for the destroyer to destroy them.

They were used to murmuring during slavery in Egypt, their task masters stressed them and put unnecessary burden on them so murmuring was a normal reaction but they forgot that God is a loving God who is not like their Egyptian task masters.

I have heard of people who would give God conditions like: 'If you don't do so and so, i'll backslide'. Some think they can manipulate God into doing things for them by issuing threats. Even the Israelites told Moses that Egypt was better than the wilderness because of foods like onion, garlic, etc.

Murmuring drove them to saying those things that displeased God. During your wilderness season, please don't murmur. Do not talk anyhow to God and accuse Him as if He's a criminal.

Murmuring is an expression of faithlessness, it is another way of saying God does not know what He is doing.

You must be conscious of God's mercy and love during your wilderness season and lay at His feet in worship at all times. The devil will always try to paint God to you in bad light and make you feel He is wicked. He may suggest you try out ungodly alternatives because He doesn't care. Please don't listen to Him.

If you accept his suggestion, he's driving you into destruction like he did to the Israelites in the wilderness.

Action point

Father, I rebuke the spirit of murmuring in my life In Jesus name.
