Malachi2:15 Didn’t the LORD make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth.
There are two institutions the devil keeps attacking vehemently today. The first is the family and the second is the church. Satan cannot attack the church successfully without the family.
The kinds of havoc Satan is wrecking in homes today is unthinkable. The onslaught of the devil on the church cannot succeed except he succeeds with the family first.
No nation can be chaotic except the family is chaotic. What we see in the society and the church is a reflection of the stuff people are made of from their families. Good families good nation and vice versa.
One of the reasons I hate divorce and chaos in the home is simply because I know it is satanic. The target is to distort the plan and programmes of God for the next generation. When children are from dysfunctional homes with bad parenting, oftentimes, they perpetuate that cycle.
The family is central to God's plan and purpose for mankind that is why no one fell from heaven to the earth. Redemption plan couldn't be executed without the family. Even though Jesus is God, yet he couldn't come to the earth in all his glory as deity, He came through the family route.
Have you ever wondered why there are genealogies in the bible? It is because God places premium on family that is why He kept family records. The devil is scattering homes today, turning the hearts of husbands against wives and making children wayward. Some christian families are not exempted in this but the devil won't get away with it.
The Babylonian system of this world stand opposed to the unity and peace of the family that is why in some countries, it is cheaper to get a divorce than to sign marriage papers.
Whatever the case maybe, register it in your heart that the unity and peace of the family remains a top priority In God's agenda. Do not enter into marriage with an option of exit in your heart. Decide to make it work.
Another way to put it is this: do not marry someone you cannot spend the rest of your life with in peace and joy. It is better to stay single trusting God to be married than to be married and begging God to help you solve your marital woes.
You need plenty wisdom to marry right but you need a large dose of "foolishness" to stay married.
Father, keep my family as one in love, unity and peace so that we may fulfil your purpose In Jesus name.
