Psl119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

EAT RIGHT

There was a conversation between mother eagle and the eaglet. The eaglet asked her mother, "where do you get the strength to soar from despite your age"? The mother eagle replied by saying, "I eat the food of eagles and i stay in their company. This is the source of my strength. As long as I keep eating the food of eagles and I stay among other eagles whose aim is to soar to unimaginable heights daily, I'll remain strong".

If you want to rise and never fall, you need to feed on the food of the spirit where you can derive strength daily. That food is the word of God. Just as it is in the physical as regards diet, so it is in the spiritual. A believer can be under fed and malnourished spiritually. Just as there are consequences for poor nutrition in the physical so it is in the spiritual. The simple formula taught in song in our early days in the faith still works: "Read your bible pray every day, if you want to grow". The place of consistency in prayer and the word cannot be overemphasized if you want to rise from your fallen state and stay up without falling.

When the devil want to bring a believer down, the first thing he attacks is the person's prayer and word study life. He gets the person so busy and weak to pray, fast and study. At other times, it may not be weakness but he makes them esteem prayer and the word less. This trap works well for some ministers especially those that have either gone to a bible school or have spent years in the faith. Whenever they open their bibles, they don't see any new thing there. When they study, it is because they want to preach, not for personal growth. If you have fallen, the strength to rise on your feet is in the word and grace never to fall can be released in prayer. Go back to the place of fellowship, that's where your strength lies.

Action point

Make it a point of duty to study and pray on daily basis not neglecting the place of fellowship with the brethren and obedience to God's word.
