When my wife was pregnant of our first baby, due to her health condition at that time, she was placed on bed rest when her time for delivery was due. For days, she had no contraction, nothing.

The doctors were mulling the idea of a caesarean section or induction. At that point, I knew her faith had been tampered with because she was placed in the ward where all the women there lost their babies. I mean all without exception. Some of those who lost their babies couldn't pay hospital bills. They were detained and subjected to unfair treatment.

She was the only one still carrying pregnancy in that ward. I faulted the hospital for doing that because they surrounded her with high level negativity that could affect her faith and kill it totally. If I could peep into the hearts of other women who were there, one or two may wish she joined their clique.

I stood my ground that what befell others won't befall her. I asked her a simple question: What do you have faith for? CS or induction? To God's glory, she was induced and the baby came out naturally.

When facing life's crisis, shut the door of your mind against negativity. It is a faith killer. You may need to change your association too. I noticed that faithless people and doubting Thomases always network to console each other. They have a 'whatsapp' group they belong.

They find ways of fellowshiping together in their doubts and unbelief. They'll tell themselves their lives are bad, broke and damaged because of poor economy whereas others are making it legitimately in the same economy. If it is those with failed marriages, they'll fellowship with their problems and infect one another with doses of negativity.

Some with failed marriages often try to poison the hearts of singles to believe theirs won't be an exception when they marry. They attribute good marriage to luck whereas it is not.  Those singles programme their minds for marital failure even before they enter into marriage.

I have read many singles online expressing fear about marriage. The root cause of that fear is because they are surrounded by negative news about failed marriages. Instead of moving close to those whose marriages are working, all they see are those with failed marriages.

There is someone who drives me around occasionally. Whenever i'm with him in the vehicle, he tunes to a radio station where they have a belt dedicated for bad news in town. They cast that news dramatically. They gather all the bad happenings in town and cast it in the news.

I told him plainly that anytime I'm in the vehicle, the nonsense must stop. I hate to programme my mind with news that will kill my faith. He got the message and stopped.

Your life will not produce any meaningful result as long as you surround yourself with negativity. Don't listen to those that says it is impossible. Your mindset should tilt towards how it will be possible.

I don't like those with negative vibes around me. You cannot work with me on my team If you always see reasons why good things can't be done. As long as God is involved, it can be done. That's my belief.

A possibility mindset will always experience the miraculous. Be a "possibilitarian". Help your faith life by staying away from negativity.
