SPIRIT OF WHOREDOM

I've been privileged to preach to prostitutes and I've had very close discussion with some of them. I won't forget a young married lady whom I believe was in her late 20s/early 30s, she was engaged in prostitution. She had a family(husband and children) in another city in Nigeria. She left them to engage in prostitution. I've always known that there's something abnormal about prostitution, there must be a demon behind that action. A cursory look into the rise of sexual immorality in our world, one cannot but conclude that what we are seeing is not ordinary. There are demons of sexual immorality the enemy has released into our world to wreck lives and destinies without a recourse for age, gender and status. That's why even some ministers are not excluded.

When a man comes under the influence of this demon, he will find it hard to control himself. Some ladies under the influence of this demon cannot go a day without having sex. Even if they're married, they'll never be satisfied with their husbands. While science calls them nymphomaniac, I know from the little spiritual intelligence I have that such is the outworking of a demonic spirit. I once watched the video of a young girl teenager who said that any day without sex will make her feel abnormal. She has become addicted to sex. This demon work with other demons to bring men&women of great destinies down. It hunt for star studded destinies. Any child of God that is not careful can come under its influence. There are many polluted minds walking around today. They carry in their bodies a strong sexual urge that needs quick discharge. That's why we have a lot of sexual abuses going on in our world. It is inconceivable that a man will defile a young girl of 18 months. Isn't that strange?

How do people come under the influence of this demon? The simple answer is exposure. When people expose their minds to sexual pollutants, this demon is given a foothold. The enemy is smart. Almost everything we see in our media today has a form of sex appeal ranging from the advert of soap to cars. The music, comedy and movies aren't helping matter. We live in the days of explicit sexual content. Sometimes while working on your internet enabled PC, phones and device, a sexually suggestive video/ post can pop up. As people expose their minds to contents sponsored by this demon, they come under its influence. The writer of proverbs4:23 says, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it". If you can mount guard over your heart, you have taken a major step in your quest for victory over that demon. In addition, do not neglect the place of studying God's word daily. The Psalmist(119:9) says, "How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word". The word of God has a life transforming power, Rom12:2. While taking these practical steps daily, if you know you're under the influence of this demon, you need to cast it out.
