FAMILIAR SPIRITS
Years back, we had an outreach in a village in Akoko-Edo, Edo state of Nigeria. When the outreach was on, we heard sound of shootings that reverberated through the village. It continued repeatedly. At a time, i became afraid because I took team members to a place far from home but I noticed that the villagers were unperturbed. I asked to know what was happening. I was told that the necromancers were talking to someone who died to know the cause of his/ her death and to know if the person had involvement with witchcraft while alive. That's their custom in that village and the people believe in necromancy so much. People from different parts of the country go to this village to consult necromancers to help them consult their departed loved ones for vital information. I asked to know if the dead person appear truly, they answered in the affirmative. I've met someone who consulted a necromancer when his father died and he told me he saw his dad.
Necromancy is not the focus of my teaching but to unravel the spirit behind their art. Necromancers use familiar spirits to operate. What are familiar spirits? These are spirits that are familiar with you and your history. These spirits study specific bloodlines of a family, they have details of that family and can perpetuate evil in the blood line. When necromancers consult the dead on behalf of people, it is not the dead person that appears or speak to them, it is a familiar spirit( a demon that knows the dead person) that takes the form of the person and speak like the person. The truth is that these spirits can speak accurately like the person would if he/she were alive because they know the person and have details about him/ her. This is a high level demonic manipulation. God doesn't send the dead to speak to the living because "...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:", Heb 9:27. However, do familiar spirits operate in people's lives while still alive? The answer is yes. In that case, what do they do? They perpetuate evil in the blood line. They ensure negative family history is repeated in a lineage.
They monitor the repetition of evil patterns from one generation to the other in a family because they are familiar with the family history. In my few years of ministry and standing in the gap with the saints, I've seen evil patterns perpetuated in families. I've seen families where no one stay in marriage. Even if they are virtuous in character, that demon will find a way to perpetuate the evil in their family. They can influence their spouse( if he/she is not standing solidly in Christ) to maltreat them or frustrate them out if the marriage. I once ministered to a lady who told me about the untimely death in her mom's family. At that time, her mother who was the last&only surviving child of her family was sick. Later, she died within the age bracket her other siblings died and of the same sickness. Death wiped off all the children of a family in a similar fashion. Those that lack spiritual intelligence may call it coincidence or call the sickness genetic( which may be true scientifically) but forgetting that there's a power behind it. I'm here to tell you that you can be free from any form of evil pattern in your family history. The very first thing you need is an understanding of your redemptive rights and privileges. You now belong to God's family where the blood of deity ( Christ) runs, 1 Pet1:17-21. It is a blood without negative family pattern/ history. Using the name of Jesus coupled with this understanding, you can demand your freedom from the bondage of negative family pattern perpetuated by familiar spirits.
CONFESSION: I belong to the family of God, I'm birth by the blood of Christ. In my ancestry, evil is not permitted. I'm redeemed from evil family pattern. I decree and declare, I break free from the yoke of negative family pattern perpetuated by demons in Jesus name. I refuse the evil in my earthly ancestry. In Christ, I am triumphant in Jesus name.
