SPIRIT OF INFIRMITY
During the lockdown of 2020, we had time to watch television especially global news. The daily updates about mortality was scary. During our family devotion, we confessed Psalm91 often. I knew in my spirit that the pandemic wasn't ordinary because it grinded almost everything to a halt. However, I didn't confront it for what it is not until I tested positive to it. Before I tested positive to COVID-19 in Ghana, I had strange symptoms but I bought anti malaria& anti biotics thinking what I had was malaria or bacterial infection. After I finished the medications, nothing change. My muscle stiffened, i lost my sense of smell totally & taste to some extent. It was after I tested positive that I confronted the spirit behind it.
There are demons of infirmity the devil has released into the world. Presently, the world is under the siege of these demons. The monies that some families and individuals ought to be using for kingdom expansion and personal welfare is being pumped into purchase of drugs. The world of medical science research has received so much grants not because of any other thing but to find cure for demonic ailments. When the spirit of infirmity chooses to deal with people, they may spend all their life savings on finding cure. What a wicked demon! Unfortunately, so many do not see sickness especially the incurable ones from this perspective. I understand that sicknesses can be self inflicted through poor hygiene, lack of exercise and improper diet. Hey! What about COVID-19, HIV AIDS, Cancer, autoimmune diseases, genetic disorders and several other dangerous diseases? Till date, science cannot tell us the exact causes of these diseases, just speculations. I know the direct causative agent of these diseases- spirit of infirmity.
Don't accept sickness as the norm. The death of Christ on the was a payment for your healing so you have no reason to be down one more day: "who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed", 1 Peter 2:24 KJV. All the diseases were laid on Jesus, who is laying it on you again? That wouldn't have been God, it is the devil. God cannot use sickness to teach you a lesson. That's a relegation of the ministry of the Spirit. You can be free from infirmity if you desire to be free. The name of Jesus and your faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross is the answer to your healing and health.
CONFESSION: I refuse infirmity, Christ has paid for my healing. I refuse to be bedridden, I refuse being a regular caller at the hospital. What cannot be found in Christ's body should not be found in my body. I rebuke the spirit of (...mention the name of the sickness) in the name of Jesus. The blood of Christ has made me whole.
