DADDY, MY ANOINTING IS WORKING

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20 KJV

On a glorious day, I returned home, entered the room and was about spending some time with God, my second son rushed in and said, "Daddy, my anointing is working". I inquired further to know to know what he meant. He said, " I commanded a lizard to go and he ran. And I commanded the hanger to fall and it fell*. It was hilarious but I decided not to discourage him because i don't know how much of the anointing he desired and how he's been praying about it in his own little way. Obviously, he's been desirous of demonstrating God's power and that occasion meant a lot to him. Though I believe you don't need anointing to make a lizard run because lizards don't wait at the sight of humans especially at a close range. I can't explain the fallen hanger but I don't know how anointing will make hanger fall. If he had healed the sick or raised the dead, I wouldn't have raised doubts about the quality of his working anointing.

However, I learnt something that day. The young boy was conscious of God's power. He knew there is a super human power from above that can make things work beyond human effort. Paul told the Ephesian believers about this power and he brought them to its consciousness: "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us," Ephesians 3:20. He told them there's a power( Dunamis) at work in them already. It is also at work in us. Hallelujah!!! That power is the reason God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or imagine. That phrase "Exceeding abundantly" is from the Greek "Uperekperissou" meaning extreme. The power of God in us can do extreme things beyond our imagination. Hallelujah!!!

Reading further, the power in that text is known as "Dunamis". It is a self starting power. Inherent super human ability. That's the power Jesus promised we'll have when the Holy Spirit comes on us. Hey! If you're baptized in the Holy Spirit, you have that power already. Hallelujah!!! To operate in the various dimensions that power can afford, you need to be conscious of it. Stop thinking like a powerless and defeated fellow. Be conscious of 'Dunamis', that inherent ability to operate in the miraculous and make such happen for others. Don't be afraid to pray for the sick, be bold to tell the devil to come out and don't ever beg demons. The power that operates in you puts you on a plane of " exceeding abundantly " where your wildest imagination cannot capture. Learn to spend time praying in the Holy Ghost to stir this power. That's one of the secret of operating in the length and breadth of "Dunamis".

CONFESSION: Father, I thank you for your power that is at work in me. It can do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ever ask or imagine. Henceforth, I walk in the consciousness of that power. I refuse to beg demons and to be fearful. I walk in authority and power in Jesus name.
