WALKING IN THE TRUTH
Severally, I have heard and read about church sisters who had sex with fake preachers to be delivered of a demon or to get solution to certain problems. I am always sad hearing that people fall for those demonic tricks.
My late mentor told us about a church where the senior pastor commanded everyone in his church to exchange their wives and have sex. He took the wife of his deputy and vice versa. Others in the church followed in that evil.
We live in a world of lies and deception. It seems lies sell faster than the truth but it doesn't last for long. When I thought I had seen it all, I saw another man in the print media who demanded money to help check people's names in the book of life. Still, I wonder if their 'customers' were hypnotized or they deliberately fell for those lies.
The reason people fall for those tricks and extrabiblical practices is simply because they have not encountered the truth in God's word. It is only those that know the truth that will walk in it. You cannot walk in a truth you don't know. Impossible.
To walk in the truth is to order one's life according to the Word of God. That's all. Jesus said, "Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth"( John17:17). When your life is in tune with the rightly divided word of God, that is only when you can walk in the truth.
There's a dearth of sound and expository bible teachings today. People are walking in deception because they have been fed with lies either from the pulpit or from the media. That is why believers need to prayerfully connect with a truth teaching and preaching church.
The believer's walk must be in tune with the properly dissected word of God without prejudice to dogma or private interpretation of scriptures. Start searching for the truth. It is right there in the bible.
Jesus says, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".(John 8:32). The truth liberates If you know and walk in it.
God's expectation of you is to be a lover of the truth written in God's word. In your walk, the bible, accurately interpreted must guide your life and decisions. That is how to walk in the truth. Neglecting scriptural injunctions, instructions and verdicts will take you farther away from the truth.
