YOUR DUTY TOWARDS YOUR SPIRITUAL LEADERS Pt.3

1 Thessalonians 5:25 Dear brothers and sisters, pray for us.

PRAY FOR THEM ALWAYS- THEIR MINISTRY (C)

I use to know a very popular church that had a branch in my neighbourhood years back. The church was very popular in the mid 90s. Their senior Pastor was on television those days. In the process of time, the church closed most of her branches and till date, I haven't found any of their branches. There are several ministries that ended suddenly without traces of prior existence. That's exactly what the enemy want to do to the ministry of any God-ordained minister. In my few years of ministry and walk with the Lord, I have seen a situation where a church was sold to another denomination because they ceased to exist.

One of the targets of the enemy is to bring down God-ordained ministries. He is not happy when a man or woman called into the ministry is fulfilling ministry. To think that the devil is happy when souls are won, discipled and liberated from the shackles of hell is to be naive in spiritual matters. The attack of the enemy to bring a man's ministry down can manifest in form of sending disloyal associates to work with him, bad marriage, attack on his health, poor decision, moral failure, persecution from within and without, discouragement, scandals, betrayal, false accusations, stagnation and other fiery darts. The enemy's tactics has always been to strike the shepherd so that the sheep can scatter yet we are not discerning enough to know when the enemy is at work. Some church folks can spend hours discussing pastors but won't go on their knees to intercede.

Listen to Paul in 1Thess2:18, "We wanted very much to come to you, and I, Paul, tried again and again, but Satan prevented us." It was Satan himself that prevented Paul from going to Thessalonica to fulfill his ministry. If only God can permit you to see into the realm of the spirit and to hear about the enemy's plot for your spiritual leader, you'll never joke with the place of continuous intercession. Dearest, your pastor need your prayers. That spiritual leader you respect and hold in high esteem needs serious intercession. If truly you love what God is doing through him/ her, you should volunteer to be his/ her personal intercessor. When you see a successful minister, there are intercessors behind him praying night and day. Your pastor must not fail in his assignment neither should that brother in ministry fail in his. Get on your knees now and pray.

Action point

Father, I crush powers that want ( ...insert name) to fail in ministry. I stop their maneuvers and activities and decree victory over every onslaught of the enemy in Jesus name
