WORSHIP –MORE THAN A SONG. PART (1)

July 27, 2013 · Lanre Oyeleke · 2 views

Matthew 5:16 - Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and GLORIFY(worship) your Father which is in heaven (KJV). Emphasis mine

Worship is a term very common to Christians generally. We sometimes classify the slow songs as worship&the fast songs as praises. The true meaning and essence of worship has partially been eroded over time.

First, Worship is NOT all about the songs we sing BUT A LIFESTYLE. The word WORSHIP if broken down and expanded can be said to mean WORTHY – OF – LORDSHIP.

Hence, worship to God in this context means all things that we do that make and proclaims God as being WORTHY – OF – LORDSHIP.

Since at the point of salvation, what we actually confessed is making Jesus the Lord over our lives therefore our lives should actually back up and portray the confessions of our mouth hence the need to live "A LIFE OF WORSHIP"-a life that speaks for itself that God is worthy of Lordship.

Action point

Father, help me to live in constant worship of you In Jesus Name.
