PURPOSE AND PATTERN

Exodus25:40 “Be sure that you make everything according to the pattern I have shown you here on the mountain.

During the voice of healing days in America, most evangelists had a tent for program. It was the norm. That season experienced a massive display of the miraculous because of the revival that broke out on Azusa street. This revival spread far within United States. The evangelists of that era had large tents for their healing programmes. One of the young ministers who witnessed that move of God was Kenneth E.Hagin of blessed memory. On several occasions, he was told by fellow ministers to get a large tent to start his own outdoor healing and miracle meetings but he declined with wisdom. The reason he gave for that was because God didn't instruct him to do that. It wasn't part of his ministerial job description.

There's something that is distinctly unique about God's purpose for your life. There's a unique pattern that is peculiar to the nature of your assignment which may not be exactly the same with another person doing something similar. God's purpose for your life has its unique pattern and you must discover yours. God told Moses to build according to the pattern shown to him on the mountain. It is possible to build and not follow the architectural pattern or plan. When the building process finish, people may celebrate and rejoice with the builder for completion but the architect knows that something is wrong somewhere.

When you receive an assignment from God, you need to press further to know the "how", " where", "who" and "what". That is how you can get the details of the pattern for that assignment. God is never haphazard, He is a God of precision and accuracy. Stop copying what you see everyone doing, discover the uniqueness of God's purpose for your life and stay on it. Beware of mixing trends with pattern. It corrupts the very essence of God's purpose for your life. Your divine pattern may not be popular but stick to it to achieve the intended purpose. Moses received the pattern on the mountain denoting the place of fellowship with God. There's no other place where you can receive yours except in the place of fellowship.
