GOD DOES NOT NEED TO MAKE "SENSE" JUST OBEY

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. NIV

The instruction that came to Abram to leave his father's house to an unknown place doesn't make human sense, Gen12:1. When God instructed Noah to build an ark because of the coming deluge, i am sure it didn't make much sense to him because up until the time the flood came, rain hadn't fallen as we were told by most bible scholars. The rain that caused the flood was the first rain on earth yet he obeyed and preached the message of repentance for 120 years. In fact, I perceive the reason his message was spurned by the people of his day may be because they couldn't imagine water pouring from the heavens upon the earth and drowning them, Gen6:9-22. I don't think it made sense for Elijah to go to brook Cherith to be fed by a bird during famine and later move to the house of a poor widow for food. It wouldn't have made any sense for the widow to give Elijah her last meal. Absolutely senseless.1 Kings 17:7-16.

How much of sense does it make to go to war singing and dancing as against the normal way of unleashing military artillery against the enemy? Yet, Jehoshaphat obeyed God, 2Chronicles 20. Do you think it made sense for David to go to war against a veteran like Goliath with five stones and a sling?Absolutely, it made no military sense, 1Sam17. I wouldn't try that against an enemy that is not even as skilled as Goliath. The immaculate conception doesn't make any biological sense. How can a woman be pregnant without knowing a man? That's a mystery that's hard for some folks to understand till date. In the bible, there are several examples of divine instructions that doesn't make sense. I asked why it is like that often? The answer is simply because God doesn't live in the realm of human sense that's why His instructions won't make sense oftentimes.

It is natural for every human to try make sense out of every divine instruction because we live in the sense realm. We believe the authenticity of what we can see, touch, taste, smell and hear. However, the God we are dealing with doesn't operate in our realm, He is transcendent. He lives in a world of His own and does as He pleases: "Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him", Psalms115:3. Walking with God requires trust and obedience. You need to trust the integrity of who is leading you except you don't know Him. That's why the knowledge of God is important. The moment the issue of trust is settled, simply obey. The men we read about in scriptures became kingdom icons because they trusted and obeyed God even when His instruction made no sense. Stop trying to question every instruction from God, simply obey.
