Psalms85:6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
THE MIRACULOUS
Revival is not complete until we see the miraculous power of God at work. Here, we're talking about real, genuine and confirmable miracles not an arranged or assumed miracle. The early church was a church of signs and wonders even though that was not their message neither did they advertise miracles as a bait to bring people yet miracles happened because true miracles are produced by the divine power of God to establish the Lordship of Christ in the hearts of men. The bible says, "Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know", Acts 2:42. Hallelujah!!!. The miracles that happen when revival breaks out will establish and enthrone the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the hearts of men.
The miraculous is not something to advertise a man, no it is not. When revival comes, the miracles will point men to Jesus for salvation. That's why there were records of more people getting saved than there were those getting miracles because salvation of soul was the focus: "Yet more and more people believed and were brought to the Lord—crowds of both men and women. As a result of the apostles’ work, sick people were brought out into the streets on beds and mats so that Peter’s shadow might fall across some of them as he went by", Acts5:14-15. From the scripture above, after people saw and heard what happened to Ananias&Sapphira, they believed. That is, they gave their lives to Jesus. The next verse told us how miracles happened through Peter's shadow.
Apostle Peter didn't start "Shadow Healing Services". He knew all was just an act of the Holy Spirit. Their commitment was to the Gospel and bible doctrines. Until we have a biblical perspective to miracles, we may not experience the outbreak of the raw manifestation of God's power the way it should. Oh! How we need that kind of Apostolic revival today! The world doesn't believe in the living Jesus, one of the ways multitudes can be convinced about His Lordship when they see His acts in clear and undoubted ways. A new season is upon us, we need revival. A fresh outpouring. Ask the Lord of revival to send revival.
Father, let there be a revival in my life and in the church in Jesus name.
