DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED

October 03, 2023 · Lanre Oyeleke · 46 views

Phil3:13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,t but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead (NLT ).

I read the story of three frogs in a pit. They tried jumping out from the pit but all to no avail. Two frogs gave up but the third one kept trying.

The two frogs down the pit were screaming and yelling at their colleague to stop trying but this frog kept trying. Eventually, he succeeded in jumping out of the pit and the two frogs down the pit were surprised.

When he made it up, the two frogs down the pit asked if he heard them. He said 'I was deaf to your yelling and if I heard anything, i thought you were encouraging me to jump harder'. The other two remained in the pit but this frog became free.

In life, when you attempt to break the status quo and stand out, so many voices would yell and scream at you to stop. Please don't listen, be focused. Those screaming at you today would end up identifying with your success.

I want you to develop a thick skin against discouragement. The road to success in life, career, marriage and ministry is never easy. Sometimes, you may look stupid to people but please keep on. As long as your vision is genuine and your pursuit is legal, you will surely reach the top.

Try out that business idea, don't listen to those that failed. Rather, listen to those that have faced the same challenge and ask for the way out.

Action point

Do not be discouraged. Keep on.
