MEN ARE POLYGAMOUS BY NATURE- IT IS NORMAL TO CHEAT.
Recently, I watched the video of a preacher in Ghana who claimed that men are polygamous by nature. Openly, he supported adultery but he redefined it to suit his mischief.
A man walked into my office years back. He had separated from his wife. As a lover of peace, I tried to mend the broken relationship but this man told me I shouldn't bother because he had made up his mind to move on.
The wife accused him of battery, gross irresponsibility and infidelity. He told me there's no big deal about cheating because it is normal for men to do that. I could remember vividly that while he was proud about cheating, he was bitterly suspicious of his wife's fidelity.
In my heart, I felt he shouldn't be pained If his wife pay him back in his own coin. Whoever & whatever makes it "normal" for men to cheat on their wives shouldn't outlaw cheating for wives too. After all, all cheating men do it with a woman( either single/ married). Cheating is incomplete until both sexes are involved.
The society has alot of sinful androcentric stereotypes that has damaged the lives of men, ruined their destinies and scattered their homes. The devil has sold a free lie to men that they cannot be faithful to a woman all their life because they aren't wired for one woman. Big lie!
What men should be shameful about has become a thing of pride with a feeling of conquest. In Proverbs 6:32, king Solomon, a professor of women affairs said: "But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys himself". No one knows the negative impact of adultery better than Solomon. He said every adulterer is a fool heading for destruction.
If animals like Beavers, Gibbons,Parakeet,
Yellow Crested Penguin, Swan, French Angelfish, Owl and a host of others are faithful to their mates in a monogamous relationship till death, how much more humans especially believers who live under the grace of God that has taught us to say 'No' to ungodliness (Titus2:11-12).
God didn't create men to be polygamous by nature. It is just a carnal mindset most men accept as norm over time.
Talking about marital fidelity, in Proverbs 5:15-17, the bible says, "Drink water from your own well— share your love only with your wife. Why spill the water of your springs in the streets, having sex with just anyone? You should reserve it for yourselves. Never share it with strangers".
The bible describes that man/woman you're having an affair with as a stranger. Run from strangers. Do not accept this lie. With God's help, you can be faithful to one woman all your life.
Father, I receive the grace to stay faithful to my spouse in Jesus name. Amen
