BEWARE OF ANTI BIBLE PHILOSOPHIES Pt.1

Col2:8 Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.

We are currently facing a dire situation this end time that is already consuming the ignorant and confusing the elect. I call it "knowledge crisis". This is simply because there's increase in knowledge more than ever before. Social media is filled with several thoughts that has confused many and made thousands to stray. Unfortunately, some preachers or teachers push these heresies with subtlety but they don't even know the origin of what they're saying That leaves us with mind boggling questions: "Is there an alignment between new found knowledge and the bible?" "What does the bible say about the several views being propounded"? Truly, we are in the end of times: "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased"( Dan12:4). The increase in knowledge has its good sides but the negativity has caused many to stray simply because any knowledge that stands opposed to the knowledge of the risen Christ as revealed in the Bible is toxic and inimical to our walk with God.

Our generation is not the first to be confronted with with anti bible philosophies. It has been from time immemorial. It will surprise you to know that Zoroaster, the founder of Zoroastrianism lived in the time of Moses as suggested by researchers. Right from after the fall when man ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, the devil built his citadel of learning with men and raised teachers who will spread anti bible falsehood. This they do vigorously with all conviction. In the time of Paul, he lived in the age of philosophers most of whom have anti bible philosophical leanings. That's why he said: Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ( Col 2:8). What we are seeing or hearing today is not new.

The end time battle or warfare that we often deemphasize is "knowledge warfare". The enemy is using wrong knowledge to draw many into error. Unfortunately, there are many preachers who can't even identify these errors and refute it simply because they lack training. Paul saw it coming years ago and he said: "We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the STRONGHOLDS OF HUMAN REASONING AND TO DESTROY FALSE ARGUMENTS"[4NLT], We demolish ARGUMENTS( referring to anti bible philosophies) and every pretension THAT SETS ITSELF UP AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ( 2 Cor 10:4-5, emphasis mine). True warfare is knowledge warfare. The devil seeks to corrupt the truth of scriptures in order to deceive the elect of God. Only bible truth addicts will overcome in this warfare and make it home. The trick he( Satan) used in Eden is still the same: *"...“DID GOD REALLY SAY you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees in the garden?”(Genesis 3:1 NLT). It is time to know what God has said in scriptures and stick to it so that we won't be consumed by high sounding nonsense and empty philosophies of this age.
