JUSTIFIED TO BE GLORIFIED. Pt.2

Psalms 17:15 As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness. NKJV

A COMPLETE LIFE CYCLE OF TRANSFORMATION

In O'level biology, we were taught about life cycle of insects. The whole idea the teaching conveyed was how insect life developed from the egg stage to adulthood which is the final or perfect stage. For instance, the butterfly you see wasn't "born" as a butterfly. It went through a cycle of transformation from being an egg to larva to pupa and finally to becoming an adult butterfly that we cherish. The several stages it underwent is called metamorphosis. The believer in Christ is undergoing a metamorphosis. We're yet to complete our life cycle of transformation into Christ likeness: "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord"( 2Cor3:18).

It is in our glorified state we shall be conformed fully to the image of Christ: "Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is" (I John 3:2 NKJV). Some are always asking if a believer can be perfect. I wish I can say "Yes" and "No" at the same time. You can only understand fully what it means to be perfect if you pay attention to what will happen in our glorification because our perfection is tied to it. For a believer, perfection is not a state rather it is a process with stages. The finality of that process shall be accomplished when we are glorified. Presently, we are not there yet. We are in the process, we're still metamorphosing daily into the image of Christ. Hallelujah!!!

Don't forget that Christ by the Spirit of God is still working in us daily to conform us: "that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish"(Ephesians 5:27 NKJV). The work of presenting you as a glorious church without spot or wrinkle is ongoing as you behold Him daily through His word. Christ won't stop this work until we see Him glory. Apostle Paul further said, "who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself"(Philippians 3:21 NKJV). The coming of Jesus is something we should long for daily. In His glorious appearing, we shall complete our life cycle of transformation into His very image, some day, we shall be like Him just as He is. Hallelujah!!!

Action point

Father, I thank you for your word. I receive the grace to submit myself to the process of transformation till I become fully like Jesus in glory.
