FORGIVENESS IS KEY
Religion hardly forgive people of their wrongs because it believes in the concept of punishment. Religion makes the offended feel right thereby placing him on a righteous pedestal while the other is seen as a sinner that must be punished.
This kind of feeling is a form of spiritual pride I've seen amongst brethren. They won't see people the way God sees them but would want to hold some sins against them. If God has forgiven a man, you are only wasting your precious time seeing him in the light of his former misdeeds.
Religion tramples and bellitle the precious blood of Jesus and exalts works that you do as a means of being made right with God. You need a cure and that is Jesus.
You may be full of good works, but it is not a substitute for salvation.
Simply forgive and let go.
