Eph2:8-9- "For by GRACE are ye saved through faith...it is the GIFT of God: NOT OF WORKS, LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST.
GRACE AT WORK NOT MY WORKS
Religion doesn't like to read this verse because the concept of salvation by grace isn't in their theology. Grace is something we don't deserve given to us by mercy. Religion can preach a hot message but will lay a burden on its hearers rather than take them to the fountain filled with Immanuel's blood for cleansing.
Religion believes you still have to obey over 600 laws of moses before you can be saved and accepted before God because the concept of religion is salvation by works whereas, Gal5:4 made it clear that those that believe in the law to be saved have fallen from grace.
I don't want to fall from grace through faith because it is the new testament key to pleasing God and reigning with Him. By religious standards, I'm not worthy to be saved.
Thank God grace led me to the Cross, offered me salvation and taught me to shun ungodliness.
