George Muller was one of the greatest intercessors in contemporary times. He was resilient in the place of prayer and he never gave up. History have it on record that he prayed for the salvation of some persons for decades.
For a certain man, George prayed for his salvation daily for over fifty years. He faithfully prayed daily until this man gave his life to Christ. Five decades plus is a long time yet this man committed himself to continuous intercession.
Another Christian woman prayed for the salvation of her wayward son for years. This woman died without witnessing her desired testimony. After he demise, her son had an accident. While unconscious, he saw a vision of hell. As he was about to be thrown into hell, an angel stopped the demon.
The angel opened his eyes to see how his late mum prayed for his salvation. On the strength of her prayers, he was shown mercy. This man came back to life and gave his life to Christ. God answered his late mom's prayer. Her investment in prayers paid off eventually.
I want to encourage you not to stop praying. God hears all prayers and he sends answers at the right time. Sometimes, our prayers today are seeds sown awaiting harvest tomorrow. Don't think you have wasted your time.
The seeds of prayer sown in years is what you are harvesting today. Sometimes, we experience certain miraculous happenings and we wonder why they happened without asking. Well, God mercies gives us what we don't deserve or ask for but at other times, such miraculous happenings are products of prayers of yester years.
If you have been praying for a particular thing or person, don't stop. The day of harvest is coming. Keep at it. If George Muller had quitted, he may not have those answers. Please, don't quit.
Father, help me not to relent in the place of prayer in Jesus name.
