John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” NIV
BELIEVING PRECEDE SEEING
You've heard several times that seeing is believing. That's the statement of those who live in the sense realm.
I was teaching about faith in sometime ago. I told my listeners the reason it seems the prayers of some believers are not answered is because they have reversed the bible pattern of faith.
They hold on to the popular mantra of: Seeing is believing. In the kingdom of God, it is what you believe you will see. Now, that's not easy for the flesh.
The human mind loves to see evidence but God's word is the only evidence that gives the assurance of answer to prayers. You must believe God's word more than physical evidence.
Mark 11:24 says, "I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours"( Mark 11:24 NLT). It is the believing that precedes the having.
That is foolish to the human mind but that's God's wisdom in getting our request answered.
God did not put our 'receiving' in the future, our receiving should be in the present and past even if we do not see it at the moment.
Our receiving is not tied to how we feel or what we see but our believe and absolute trust in God's word. Halleluyah!!!
A believer should not find it hard to believe. The moment you start doubting God's word and his ability to do what He said he will do, you have wasted your prayer effort.
Sometimes, I see people who love to go round asking for prayers on the same issue. Several evangelists have laid hands on them yet there's no result.
They drop names of big preachers that have prayed for them on the same issue. Such persons I don't take serious because they may want to add me to the long list.
Many of them want instant manifestation before believing their prayers are answered instead of believing instantly that they have received answers before seeing manifestation.
The absence of instant result or physical manifestation doesn't determine the efficacy of your faith or prayers.
Your faith should stand on the truth revealed in God's word that you have received what you prayed for.
This is how faith works.
CONFESSION: I am a believer. I believe God's word and stand on it regardless of physical result in the name of Jesus Christ.
